Good news for tomorrow, tomorrow I will be placing bolts and taking more pictures for the upcoming guide.  I am going to attempt to give climbers of all ranges something to work on with this guide, from lead, top rope, highballs, bouldering, and even some slight buildering.  I've been working with Tim up at Get Your Gear On, over by Riverbanks Zoo, on trying to find new routes as well as getting the gear I need they can get you anything and everything you need they also have a lot of consignment gear that is worth checking out.  They are both friendly as well as the shop dog Daisy who will gladly welcome you at the door if she is there.  Check out some of their stuff at Get Your Gear On.

Another addition to what is happening tomorrow is that there will be more work happening to my home bouldering room, aka The Castle,  I will also post some reviews on the sets of holds that are already in the bouldering room.  Throughout this blog I will also be giving a second opinion on the review of the guys over at Climbing Hold Review for some of the sets that I have gotten because of what I've seen on their website.

Today was the first day of real work put into the climbing guide I spent my afternoon grading and setting routes out in one of the several areas that will be included in the guide.  I will have about 40 routes for that one area so far and hopefully before everything is said and done there will be even more to add to it.  I am hoping that my weekend will be spent setting top rope routes and maybe one or two lead climbs, but with the number of things I'm trying to do at once it will probably end up being spent setting routes and taking pictures and writing to put in the guide.

On another note next week I will have a large number of holds arriving that the guys over at http://climbingholdreview.blogspot.com/ haven't done reviews on so I will probably be doing a number of videos for that as well to give anyone who is just starting out on their own home wall an idea of what the sizing and feel of the holds are like, very excited for my large box to arrive.

Because I doubt that I will be back with another post until Sunday afternoon that will surely contain some climbs that I do this weekend, hope everyone has a good weekend.

My name is Chris, I am creating this blog to highlight some of the wonderful outdoor things about South Carolina's Midlands as well as adding onto what http://climbingholdreview.blogspot.com/ does.  I think they are a great blog and have helped me a lot with building my climbing room and filling it with the holds I enjoy.  This blog will also contain things about local climbing spots, routes, and other outdoor doings.  Hopefully before the end of the year I will have a bouldering/climbing guide for a lot of the the local climbing spots within my area. Hopefully you will enjoy my blog.
